Dave Smith (RIP) is a legend in the world of synthesiser design. The man behind the groundbreaking Prophet 5, Prophet VS, the Korg Wavestation, Vector Synthesis and the first commercially available software synthesiser. If this wasn’t enough, he also led the development of MIDI.

In 2008, Dave Smith Instruments released the Prophet 08, which became an icon of the modern analogue synthesiser renaissance and totally transformed the modern landscape for versatile analogue hardware.

Used by everyone from Radiohead, James Blake & Jacob Collier, to DJs such as Chris Lake & Deadmau5, the Prophet 08 has left its mark in the history books. Dave updated this classic by releasing the Rev 2.

Featuring up to 16 voices, two layers, pulse width modulation, FX, two arps, two sequencers, an easy to use modulation matrix and 4 LFOs per voice for a total of 64 LFOs, the sound design possibilities are endless.  The Prophet 08 was an instant classic, and the Rev 2 elevates this status beyond greatness.
